Juniper Networks was a twelve-year-old company which had earned a distant second place spot in the networking world behind Cisco, accomplishing this feat in spite of its aging branding and marketing. Juniper needed a fresh start. The launch of Juniper’s refreshed brand consisted of numerous components, both strategic and visual, including a new identity, brand architecture, global signage system, launch campaign, and various digital components including a robust campaign website and a refreshed corporate website. Post-launch brand-building activities included ongoing advertising, internal initiatives, and a complete reset on the industrial design of Juniper’s hardware.
